Triple dialing got my numbers flagged: what agents are doing instead

A pattern from the last year: agents who triple-dialed every lead for a decade suddenly saw answer rates collapse. The script didn't change. The numbers got labeled. Here's what's working instead, from agents who've been through it.
Why triple dialing hurts now. Three calls in five minutes from the same number to the same person looks like a robocall to the carrier's scoring, especially when nobody answers. Do that four hundred times a day and the number is spam-labeled within a week.
Spread the touches. One call now, a text if consented, a second call at a different time of day, a third call the next day. Same three touches, spread across hours instead of minutes, from a rotating set of local numbers.
Rotate and match. Multiple numbers per area code, rotated automatically, so no single number carries the day's volume. Area-code matching alone lifts answer rates because a local number reads as a neighbor, not a call center.
Check the label. Register your numbers with the carriers' reputation programs and check the label on each one monthly. Replace a labeled number; don't try to rehabilitate it.
Fix the list. A list with bad numbers drives the no-answer rate that drives the label. Scrub disconnected numbers before you dial.
If you've recovered an answer rate, post what you changed and how long it took to come back.
