Training a new agent in 30 days: a schedule that sticks

by InsuraCentralStaff1mo ago0 views

A schedule that has worked across several teams. Adjust for phone versus field.

Week 1: setup and shadow. Contracting complete, E&O, CRM access, phone number, lead access. Shadow live dials every day, take notes on objections, present the first product back to you by Friday.

Week 2: dial with a net. Their own dial block, on a short list, with you in the room or on the line for the first hour daily. Track the six numbers. Evening review of every contact.

Week 3: first applications. Present with you listening, field underwrite with you checking. Draft verification and the recap are non-negotiable. First policies issued.

Week 4: run the system. Full dial block alone, daily numbers reported, weekly persistency check on week-three business, one product added.

What breaks it: skipping the shadowing to "get them producing", leads arriving before contracting is done, no daily numbers, and a manager who reviews results instead of activity in month one.

Post the schedule you use and what you changed after the first agent who quit.
